Heather Norton Moss, LMFT
I am a licensed psychotherapist and I am honored to do the work I do.
I love working with individuals, couples, and families because I truly believe that a supportive and loving relationship/ family is one of the most amazing gifts we can give to ourselves, children, and loved ones.
Helping new parents adjust to the transition to parenthood is a passion of mine. Becoming a parent is incredible, joyous, tiring, and at times a difficult experience. For many, it will be our most life-changing experience and one of those unexpected and challenging changes. It will shift, but there are some actions you can take to help maintain your sanity, connection, and relationship. I can draw on my experience with The Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Model, Nonviolent Communication Model, and Mindfulness Couples Therapy to help you and your partner develop more connecting communication skills, identify the core feelings causing you distress, and manage the stressors of life while nurturing your relationship.
I also specialize in working with survivors of trauma. I have worked with trauma survivors throughout my work as a therapist and am continually humbled by the tragedies folks can heal from. As a certified EMDR clinician and have seen the impact it can have on healing individuals, couples, and families dealing with PTSD, CPTSD, and trauma. I have seen how healing past trauma can bring loved ones closer together.
With over 20+ years in the mental health field working with individuals, couples, and families I help individuals and families build strong bonds in their most important relationships and rebuild trust, respect and connection.

Carrying the burdens of our life can be exhausting on our own.
Navigating the aftermath of trauma can feel like an overwhelming and isolating experience. You might be walking through life with a heaviness in your chest, replaying painful memories and feeling trapped by emotions you can’t quite name. You deserve to feel whole again, to reconnect with your body and mind in a way that fosters healing and strength. As a therapist, my goal is to understand the depth of your pain and guide you toward healing.
Imagine what it would be like to reclaim your sense of self where the past no longer defines you. You envision a life where the weight of your past no longer dictates your present—a life filled with hope, connection, and resilience. The goal might be to release the grip of anxiety and despair, and to reclaim your strength and live your life fully, untethered from the pain that has held you back.
I am a somatic therapist specializing in trauma and PTSD, dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space for you. I understand the intricacies of trauma and how it can manifest in our bodies and emotions. I combine somatic therapy techniques such as EMDR—a powerful therapeutic approach that allows us to access and process unprocessed trauma stored in the body. We will explore these sensations and emotions, enabling profound release and lasting positive relief.
As we embark on this journey, you’ll find that my role as a therapist is not just to listen, but to actively walk alongside you in your process. I understand how important it is to feel seen and understood, and I prioritize establishing a genuine connection with each of my clients.
Together, we can work toward unlocking the resilience that lies within you, helping you move forward and embrace the fullness of life again. Let’s take the first step on this journey together.

Child and Teen Therapy
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and I commend you for being here. My goal is to offer a compassionate, supportive space where individuals and families can explore challenges, build resilience, and experience meaningful growth.
Before becoming a mental health therapist, I spent four wonderful years as an elementary school teacher. That experience helped shape my passion for working with children, teens, young adults, and families—supporting them not just in the classroom, but in life.
Now, as a therapist, I bring that same compassion and understanding into my clinical work. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective, evidence-based method for processing trauma and distress. I believe that connection is at the heart of healing, and I’m here to walk alongside you—wherever you are on your journey.
My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and respect for each client’s individual story. I strive to foster a safe space where healing can begin, strengths can emerge, and meaningful change can take root. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative—tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual or family.
As a mental health therapist, I work with children, teens, young adults, and families navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
