Heather Moss, LMFT

I am a licensed psychotherapist and am honored to do the work I do.

I love working with individuals, couples, and families because I truly believe that a supportive and loving relationship/ family is one of the most amazing gifts we can give to ourselves, children, and loved ones.

Helping new parents adjust to the transition to parenthood is a passion of mine. Becoming a parent is incredible, joyous, tiring, and at times a difficult experience. For many, it will be our most life-changing experience and one of those unexpected and challenging changes. It will shift, but there are some actions you can take to help maintain your sanity, connection, and relationship. I can draw on my experience with The Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Model, Nonviolent Communication Model, and Mindfulness Couples Therapy to help you and your partner develop more connecting communication skills, identify the core feelings causing you distress, and manage the stressors of life while nurturing your relationship.

I also specialize in working with survivors of trauma. I have worked with trauma survivors throughout my work as a therapist and am continually humbled by the tragedies folks can heal from. As a trained EMDR clinician and have seen the impact it can have on healing individuals, couples, and families dealing with PTSD, CPTSD, and trauma. I have seen how healing past trauma can bring loved ones closer together.

With over 20+ years in the mental health field working with individuals, couples, and families I help individuals and families build strong bonds in their most important relationships and rebuild trust, respect and connection.

I provide online & in-person therapy throughout California. I believe that successful therapy begins with a good relationship with your therapist.

My priority is to ensure a safe and comfortable space where my clients feel they can feel truly heard while being free from both pressure and judgment. I understand that everyone is unique, and I will tailor treatment accordingly to meet you where you are at on your therapeutic journey. I am excited to help you define your strengths, beliefs, and values while helping you to achieve your goals.

I work with individuals of all ages seeking support in reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional distress, life stressors, relationship struggles, trauma, PTSD, and behavioral issues. I utilize CBT, DBT, EMDR, experiential therapy, mindfulness therapy, play therapy, and the Nonviolent Communication Model to help my clients create better relationships with themselves and others. I work with people from all walks of life including couples, adults, teens, elders, children, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Katherine Morris, AMFT

You can sustain happiness, inner peace, and meaningful relationships through learning to reconnect with your inner self, others, and your outside environment.

Whether you are seeking to cultivate a deeper sense of self-worth, heal past trauma, or develop coping skills to manage depression and anxiety, I will provide the guidance and support you need to enhance your overall well-being in person or from the comfort of your own home via telehealth.

It is an honor and privilege to be with you on your healing journey to find internal and external safety in a world that is often unpredictable and sometimes scary. We all have unique journeys, but you are not alone. I help clients build the tools they need for emotional regulation, increased mindfulness, self-compassion, effective conflict management, changing maladaptive behaviors, and learning to forgive oneself and others.

I have experience working with diverse communities, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My training includes helping clients overcome trauma, grief, substance dependency, anxiety, depression, gender dysphoria, body dysmorphia, and common thinking errors, as well as intimacy struggles. I practice Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, integrating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance Based Therapy. I am certified in Gottman Couples Training Levels 1 and 2. When appropriate, I utilize Transdiagnostic LGBT-Affirmative Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and gender-affirming care to address the unique stressors of the LGBTQ+ community and the client’s individual needs.
